Faith Space Leadership Cohort
A 6-Week Intensive for Pastors & Faith Leaders
Now Accepting Applications for Our Inaugural Cohort
Program Overview
The Faith Space Leadership Cohort is a six-week leadership development experience designed for pastors and faith leaders committed to addressing mental health and HIV/STI awareness in the Black Church.
This structured cohort provides education, practical tools, and implementation strategies to help faith leaders reduce stigma, normalize testing, and strengthen referral pathways within their congregations.
This initiative is part of Prevention in the Pulpit, a grant-funded program of Quality Comprehensive Health Center.
Leadership Investment
Selected faith leaders who successfully complete the six-week cohort will receive a $1,000 stipend in recognition of:

Full participation in all sessions

Completion of assigned activities
-
Development of a Faith Health Action Plan

Commitment to implementing prevention efforts within their congregation
Stipends are distributed each month until after successful completion and submission of required documentation in accordance with grant guidelines each session.
Eligibility Requirements

Faith-based leader serving in a church or ministry in North Carolina

Commitment to attend all six sessions
-
Willingness to implement at least one mental health or prevention initiative within 90 days

Agreement to participate in program evaluation measures

Cohort Structure
Duration: 6 Weeks
Session Length: 90 minutes–2 hours
Format: Virtual
Cohort Size: Limited to ensure meaningful dialogue
Attendance at all sessions is required to qualify for the stipend.
